Bottom line first: raddar and Flipp are not the same kind of product. Raddar is a printed bundle of retailer flyers delivered to your door, with raddar.ca as its online counterpart. Flipp is an app and website built to search flyers by location, item, and brand. If you like to flip through paper on Thursday night, raddar fits. If you want to type “chicken thighs” and see every local flyer that has them, Flipp fits better.
What raddar is
Raddar is TC Transcontinental’s flyer product. According to TC Transcontinental, it launched in Montreal in May 2023 as a slim leaflet that combines flyers from several retailers in one printed piece, with raddar.ca as its digital platform.
It then replaced the Publisac across Quebec between February and May 2024, and reached parts of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area and the Vancouver area. In December 2025, TC said raddar reached 4.8 million households each week in Quebec and British Columbia, delivered by Canada Post.
Is there a raddar app?
As of October 2026, we did not find an official raddar flyer app on the App Store or Google Play, and TC Transcontinental’s announcements describe raddar as a printed flyer plus the raddar.ca website. Apps with similar names in the stores are unrelated products.
If you searched for “raddar app”, your practical options are:
- open raddar.ca in your phone’s browser and add it to your home screen;
- use a flyer app such as Flipp or reebee for searchable, location-based flyers;
- keep the printed raddar for browsing and check prices before you buy.
What Flipp does differently
Flipp is built around search. Its help centre describes choosing a location, browsing local flyers, searching deals, brands, items, and coupons, then organizing clippings and list items by retailer. Flipp also owns reebee, the other big Canadian flyer app; see reebee vs Flipp for that comparison.

Best choice by need
| Need | Better pick | Why |
|---|---|---|

| You want to know if the deal is real | Either, then a price check | A flyer shows the promotion, not the unit price history |
Where BarcodeVibe fits
Neither raddar nor Flipp tells you whether the promoted size changed or whether the “special” is close to the usual price. That is the step BarcodeVibe covers: scan the product, review the price entries available for it, and compare unit value. Our flyer deal checker explains that workflow, and the full comparison of flyer apps is in Flipp Alternatives in Canada.
FAQ: raddar vs Flipp
Is raddar the same as Flipp?
No. Raddar is TC Transcontinental’s printed flyer bundle with a companion website. Flipp is a separate company whose app and website let you search local flyers.
Does raddar have an app?
We did not find an official raddar app in the Canadian App Store or Google Play as of October 2026. Raddar offers are available on raddar.ca.
Is raddar the new Publisac?
Yes. TC Transcontinental rolled raddar out across Quebec in 2024 as the replacement for the Publisac.
What is the best flyer app in Canada?
For searchable flyers, Flipp and reebee are the main options, and both belong to Flipp. For checking whether a flyer deal is worth it, add a price check with BarcodeVibe.
The practical takeaway
Choose raddar if you enjoy browsing a printed bundle, and Flipp if you prefer to search. Either way, treat the flyer as the start of the decision: check the size and the unit price before the item goes in the cart.
